<p>Is it possible for students to major in/be involved with theater if they've actually never done it before? Maybe not really major in...but still, just generally involved if they don't have any (or very little) experience.</p>
<p>yes, by all means! But, there will be some schools (particularly universities rather than liberal arts colleges) where opportunities may be limited to majors, so just check the theater department website of any school you’re interested in.</p>
<p>Just audition for everything you can - school productions, community theatre, local college film projects, etc. There are plenty of ways to get experience.</p>
