I cannot find the answer anywhere on TAMU websites. Was wondering if anyone knew what a “general elective” is? From what I COULD find it says “any class offered for university credit.” I am a transfer student, so I was wondering, does that mean that, for example, a college algebra class I took that is NOT in my degree plan but DOES transfer, would that count towards a general elective? Another example is that Comp 2 is required for my degree, but not Comp1, which I had to take in order to take Comp 2. Would my college algebra and comp 1 class fill general electives? My degree plan (marketing) has me taking two general electives in order to get my degree and I would like to have these filled before I transfer so if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it!
