What is a 'good' and 'bad' score in your opinion?

not to burst anyones bubble the national average is around 1550 so i would say anything above is great. To be honest nowadays there is more to an applicant than SAT scores. Colleges do factor them in for their decisions but even so students with perfect scores can still be rejected. Yeah it is awesome that some people can get a perfect score but if they spent their entire life studying for them and accomplished nothing out of school then those scores are close to worthless

^yeah but that never happens. Very high correlation between grades and sat scores

I hold certain standards for myself and what I consider to be a “good” score has been greatly influenced by the schools I am looking at/have applied to, and when choosing these schools I took into account my course rigor and gpa, which I would say work well with my SAT score. I only got a 2090(single sitting) and 2130(super score) but I barely studied. If I had really studied I could have broken a 2300 but with my gpa(which is good but not extraordinary) I didn’t feel that there was a reason to raise a red flag in my application. I am a naturally good test taker, but I have to work hard to obtain amazing grades. Anyway my point is is that if you have spent all of your time looking at schools whose averages are around a 1600 then you would think that a 1700 is good; or you could just think that anything in the range you scored is good, if you feel that you are such an “amazing” person that you could not receive a “bad” score.
