"what is a good life" and first year Florida? Is it really worth it?

Or were the preview staffers just advertising? Thank you!

Staffer didn’t even talkt to me about “What is a Good Life”, I just took it on a whim. What’d they say about it?

They just suggested it alot when we were picking our courses.

It’s basically a quote derived from Socrates. To me, It’s more of an objective thing instead of a good life which is entirely subjective. To someone a big house a bunch of cars will make them happy and to someone else living on the streets will make them relatively happy.

I saw it last week when I was browsing the site. I would’ve probably taken it but I’m a CC transfer and already took philosophy. It’s really interesting how much they are pushing it though.

[University of Florida: Office of the President](University of Florida President Ben Sasse)

“While the three-credit course is an elective - some 400 students took the class in 2010-11 - it may become a required course for all UF undergraduates.”

Great information! Thanks, Neelyt!

if ur in business id definitely take it. I just joined FLA and i wouldnt of even been able to apply if i didnt take warrington welcome(same as first year florida) but for business
