I just got my grades for my SAT Subject Tests, what is considered a "good" score for a top school?

Depends on what your definition of a “top” school is. I’d guess that it would be 750+, or anything above a 700.

All right thank you. =]

700 +

Yeah, does “top” in this case mean Ivy-ish? Because if so, I’m wondering the same thing… :P

Yeah, my dream school is Columbia. I’m thinking they want over 750+ but it also depends on your major.

The admissions officer who spoke at Columbia said anything above 700 is fine. She seemed to dismiss the SAT II’s. She explicitly said she likes to start with reading the 2400 SAT I applicants first; her frankness surprised me. Focus on the SAT.

Ok, thank you. The only reason I worry is because I plan to apply to SEAS and you need the two specific SAT IIs. Plus with everyone posting their 800s I don’t want to look tooo bad ahah.

but again, Thank you. That does ease a few worries.

750+ is the usual for ivies.
