What is ASB???

I hear everyone talking about being the president of ASB or something, what the heck is it? A google search says its something about robots???

ASB at my school stands for associated student body. If you look at it in a government kinda way, the "class officers" (i.e. class of 2007, class of 2008 etc) are like state governments whereas the "ASB officers" are like the federal government because anyone, regardless of class, can be an officer. ASB is supposed to run school activities whereas the class officers are supposed to run class related activities. However, at my school, the senior class officers are so powerful, it seems as if they run the school, activity wise anyway.

I think the OP is probably referring to Alternative Student Break (also known as Alternative Spring Break), an organization dedicated to planning spring and winter break trips for students that are volunteer work-oriented. I went on one my sophomore year, along with 9 other students. We drove to South Bend and spent our spring break helping out at a homeless shelter there. Not necessarily loads of fun, but a rewarding experience nonetheless.
