I am going to be a freshman in college next school year and will be going to St. John's University in Queens, NY. (Major is finance, minor journalism). I got a lot of money off from this school so it's an option

However, I also got into UCONN (in-state) and not sure what to do. UCONN is rank 58 whereas STJ is 158. UCONN is a better school, but STJ puts me on the map in NYC and will help me get some more internships.

Is this the right notion, a school in a city is better?

Go to St. John’s. It’s at least in the city and not in some place like Storrs, CT (which is an absolute ***** hole, sorry to be blunt).

HAHA I know lol, any other thoughts?

Go with the cheaper St. Johns. UConn is not some brand that will catapult you into the business world.

Neither is SJU for that matter. Uconn has a more complete college experience.

What do u mean by that?

Read previous post and just follow along.

“Neither is SJU for that matter. Uconn has a more complete college experience.”

I don’t think that was the point he was trying to make. But whatever.

He was saying UConn does not have much brand name value in NYC and I said neither does SJU. But Uconn does offer a better overall residential college experience versus SJU commuter school life can be valuable to many. You only go to undergrad once.
