I go to a competitive public school.
The average is about 28
The good is about 29~32
The great is about 33~36

I go to a private school where where 29 is the average. So in the 30s is good I guess.

@082349 Where do you go to school?

At my public school, about a 24 is average. 25-29 is good. And if you get anything 30 or above, you get your name on a board and everyone thinks you’re a genius. About 20-30 people a year get above a 30. (Out of classes of around 350)

Depends who you talk to. I go to a well known public school , #2 in the state and some kids perform well and some don’t.
For the general 3.0 student a 21 is average and a 23-24 is “good”

For the higher end students a 25-26 is average and everyone wants a 30 or above.

ACT
under 30: horrible
31-32: below average
32-34: average
35: good
36: great

SAT:
under 2250: horrible
2250-2300: below average
2300-2350: average
2350-2390: good
2400: great

I go to a public school, and we’re way better at the SAT.

A very competitive school in Asia. Apparently the average SAT score is 2200-2250. We always have people who want to retake their 2380 to get a 2400. Not that many people take the ACT though!

I live in Arkansas (where education in general in not taken seriously, by teachers, students and lawmakers alike) so ACT scores are usually around the 18 average-level at the highest.

My highest score is a 25, 26 with a super score.

The highest in my grade is a 28, and we had 3 students make that.

Last year the graduating valedictorian had a 32 and she had an article written about her in a local newspaper.

Simplified scale:

Average: 16-19

Above Average: 20-22

Surprising: 23-25

“I will never grade any of your work, I’ll just give you straight A’s,” says the teachers: 26+

Pretty sad indeed.

That’s pretty much how it is in my small Louisiana town, Jayfizzy.

The official average at my school is a 27.1
I go to a highly-competitive private school…I have a 30, and people view that as respectable, but nothing out of the ordinary. Generally the highest ones are around a 34-36 which is about 10-15 students.
