Just out of curiosity....

20, because the class average was 14 on this practice test. I know most students at my school do not care but that is still amazing to me.

Well, I go to two different schools. My ‘stupid’ one (for non math/sci classes) - probably like a 25 would be amazing. My other school you are laughed at if you don’t get at least a 30.

20 is good? Isn’t 21 average? I think at my school, 30 is “good.” Average is like 24 I think.

Anywhere in the mid 20s is considered really good at my school. My 30 blew everyone away.

Most kids around here stick to the SAT. They consider the ACT as a joke. They’re impressed by 29+, but most just consider the 30’s acceptable scores. However, I go to a “big-shot” public school where a large percentage of each class is shipped off to top schools. High test scores are common!

Coming from a public magnet, you probably need a 32 or so to be considered as “good” since 30 is about the average. We have a few 36s every year, but then again, not everyone get perfect scores.

At my school, 20 is considered ok and 25+ is considered good. Its rare to break 30 at my school, so people are amazed at my 31. Its really annoying how many people think that you can go to any college you want with a 31. But I’m happy that a good number of people scored a 29 :)

24ish. average is 18(no joke) and we only have 3-5 in each graduating class(of ~400) with a 30+.

28+ is a really good score at my school.

34<

I go to a really competitive school

34<

I go to a really competitive school

Average is probably something like an 18.

Good is 21 or so.

Great would be mid-high 20s.

Insane is 29-32.

Godlike is 33+.

Average, about a 23
Good, about a 28
Great, about a 30-31+

I go to a VERY competitive school, but a lot of kids who are smart don’t necessarily try that hard…

Probably about 32/33 is good for everyone. The usual score is probably about a 30/31

Really? I’m surprised by a lot of these responses. I go to one of the top public schools in the US, and I’m pretty sure the average student would consider a 31+ to be great. 33+ is amazing (by our school’s standards).

That being said, in some of the more advanced classes, a 32+ is probably considered “good.”

Depends on who you talk to, but mid-high 20s is considered good. People are impressed by scores above 30 for the most part.
We get a lot of high scores though, I’m in a class where me and at least 5 other people got a 33+ (I guess “advanced math physics” does kinda select for smarter kids, but still, thats a lot).

For students in the top 10%, 30+ is good. For students in the top ten or fifteen (out of about 410), 34+ is considered good.

Average is 23-24. Good is probably 27-30, impressive is 35-36.

The ACT isn’t used around here, but a * good/acceptable for the “cream of the crop” kids * score would be a 28, because it qualifies one for the full Bright Futures.
A decent/still acceptable for the second-tiered kids score would probably be about a 26.

3 in the class got a 30. So did I [I’m ranked probably in the upper echelon, but not a top-tier student].
