<p>So, We had this discussion at lunch today. My group of friends are all pretty smart and pretty involved. They seem to think we all have good shots at getting into the colleges we are applying. They think that our ecs are spectacular and different than most other "smart" people at my school. On here though, people don't consider what we do to be spectacular. So I am curious, what is considered a spectacular extracurricular activity?</p>

<p>I would go with something that you've been super ly involved with for a very long time. My 3 spectacular EC's are Band Tennis and 4-H. especcially 4-H. Band and tennis I have been in for 7 years and 4-H I have been in for 9 years plus reached a state level club.</p>
<p>Performing in something on a national or international level (like being one of the top violinists in the country, or one of the top athletes, etc.).</p>
