What is everyone bringing to I-Day?

question: am i allowed to hang an american flag in my room? or just have one where i can put on my desk.

From what I understand, there is something about mutiny .. where you need a small flag around 5" x 8" displayed in your room so you can have more than 2 people in your room at a time??? Someone chime in here! HA HA

Mutiny is whenever there are more plebes than racks in a room. However, if there is an ensign in the room (usually on a corkboard) then there cannot be mutiny.

This tradition really doesn't happen anymore.

Seems like I read something about them being able to put a cover outside the door or something like that to prevent the charge of mutiny also.

With all the rumors going around about things changing a bit w/ the new staff I guess you can't be too careful. Who knows what kind of old traditions might get started back again!

(Now where is Z when there is such an opportunity to yank the chains of these new plebes??).

Actually, I'm sure he would wish them all the best, just as we all do!

i needed febreeze and a paper towel roll during p.s.
a 'that was easy' button

Dash-9

Can't fault you for getting a little mad.

But, the detailers will have a ball with you if you don't keep a sense of humor.

Best of luck to 2011; 2008 is waiting.

What about Calculators. Instructions say inexpensive scientific calculator. Should we pack the TI-83 for I-Day, or just mail it in at a later day, and buy a simple scientific calculator.

Also, are wallets confiscated with the ATM cards and cash? And then handed back out at a later date?

okay, i realize that it is like crunch time for I-Day preparation and all...

BUT i was curious to know the size of bags to bring on I-Day. i mean, i've purchased items that i will eventually want & then some that i don't know if i'll need or even be allowed to have. should i show up with like nothing, or should i bring what i have already purchased [i.e. underwear, bras, toiletries, etc.]?

PLEASE let me know. & thanks in advance!

kristinaaa, you can bring them all but chances are you won't even see them before August. I say bring an inexpensive backpack with only the calculator, cell phone and charger and have the rest of the stuff sent in your first care package. That way you'll have a better idea of what you'll really need!
