What is it like living in a Sorority?(Any insight would be great, sororities at UW would be awesome)

So I will be attending The University of Washington in the fall, and have signed up for housing just in case, but was hoping to join a sorority. But I still have doubts.

I did go to UWs Greek preview earlier this month, and it made me want to rush so bad and made me so excited. But i just want to clear up these sort of things before I make my decision final…

First of all, my biggest concern is that I won’t be able to sleep, because the parties on Greek row will be so loud and keep me up.

Second, I’m afraid my belongings will get stolen living as a freshman in a sleeping porch and sharing a room with like 5-6 other girls to keep my stuff.

Thirdly, I’m afraid that I just won’t get enough alone time, like there will constantly be people everywhere and it will be loud and obnoxious…

And the last…are there EVER parties in sororities??? Or are they ONLY at frats? I’m not a huge partier, Ive been to my share but just prefer not to loose consciousness and would rather just drive everyone else home safe sort of person.

I am an introvert, in other wards like to recharge after a big social event usually with some alone time not with more friends. But that being said, I love hanging out with friends.

One of the biggest reasons I’ve wanted to join is sisterhood and friendship. None of my friends are going to uw, and even as of now a lot of my friend group is drifting apart and I find myself fairly lonely sometimes  I look forward to a shoulder to lean on again, not some fake Barbie sorority girls. Greek preview made me realize that sorority girls at uw are a little of everything, there were some fakes (sororities obviously only concerned about looks) but mostly a lot of diverse and extremely sweet people of all shapes and backgrounds and personalities.

Anyone in a sorority at uw right now or in the same boat? Or know anyone at uw right now who could answer these questions? Thank you
