What is it like to live on the East Coast?

Basically the entire eastern side except for the Outer Banks.

Meh, more like the eastern 1/3rd and the western 1/3rd. The triangle region and Charlotte area are nice though.

Well, I don’t live on the easten side. I have lived near Charlotte/piedmont area and western side. Have you lived in Baltimore your entire life?

Basically. I actually live like 2 miles outside the city lines right now but if you know the area at all, that’s basically part of the city. Our city borders have been the same for a long time so it’s not really a good measurement. Compared to other cities Baltimore’s size is so small because we won’t expand it. Cities like San Diego, Los Angeles, and Dallas have enormous land area but most of that area is what I would consider suburbs at home. So, to answer your question yes. Although technically I only live in Baltimore County now.

Oh, that makes sense to me actually lol. Does that confuse tourists?

Would you want Baltimore to expand, or do you like it the way it is?

I sort of have mixed feelings about it.

On one hand expanding the borders would present a more realistic population and other number based stuff. The city would probably get slightly more national recognition in stuff like top cities for blah blah blah and general number based ranking. That said I’ve always considered that stuff lame anyway. Cities should be judged by their metro areas. And the counter arguments are very good. Primarily it has to do with taxes. Nobody in Baltimore County wants the increased city taxes. Plus it’s historical and I always consider that kind of neat. Who cares about arbitrary borders anyway. It will always remain how it is and I’m happy with that. Though I always get a chuckle when I drive into a city, see the city border sign, and think to myself “*** we are 15 miles from the center of the city.”

Lol, that’s pretty funny. At least you like it there, sometimes the people where I live just annoy me. A bit hard to explain. Oh well, it sounds okay the way it is. Historical sections are always neat. Have you visited places like Williamsburg, VA or another colonial settlement? I like those types of places. Honestly, I don’t picture myself ever living in a big city long-term, more of a suburbs guy.

Lol, will do! :D

So much NJ hating tonight haha!

Williamsburg, yes. But Baltimore is not that type of historical. It’s early 1900’s historical not 1600’s historical.

And I think I’ll probably always want to live in a similar place to where I live now. Either a nice area of a city or very close suburbs. I need things to do and people to see. I got ****ed when I was on vacation in Western Maryland and I had to drive 8 minutes to the grocery store.

^Wow, uhm okay!

@hatersunite: I agree, that sunds pretty nice. Lol, I have to drive a lot longer than 8 minutes for like 90% of the stores in my city haha. Try living here hah! :D

LOL

How have I never seen that video before with 23 million views? Very well done. I love how they throw in the classic New Jersey ****** photo.

LOL, I haveen’t seen that clip in like 1.5 years! I totally forgot about it.
