WHAT is penn supplement asking?

The Penn essay states

what academic, research, and/or extracurricular paths do you see yourself exploring at Penn?

Does that mean I must describe my all academic, research, and extracurricular paths at Penn? Or can just ONE work?

How are people approaching this question? Thanks

I am guessing you can ask yourself ‘What do you see yourself doing at Penn?’ There’s no limit to how many you can write, though quality counts too.

yes, but there is a word restriction count. So do i mention extracurrics, academics, and research? or can i choose just one?

^ i wrote about all three.

I chose two out of the three, because I’m not sure what research I would be doing. Plus, it leaves more words free to write about academics/extracurriculars.

Basically - show interest in the school. Make the admissions officers know that you have researched specific clubs/classes/programs/professors etc.
