What is "Recitation"? And when they name "Staff" under instructor...

...does it mean they haven't chosen a professor yet or does it mean a grad student/someone other than a professor will be teaching the class?

As for the "recitation" question, I'm referring specifically to gen. chem. recitation.

Also, if I schedule classes back to back, will I have any trouble getting from one to another in the 10 min allowed? I'm talking about an English and Science and Math class in particular, if that makes any difference (dunno if Vanderbilt separates its departments physically or no).

A quick response would be greatly appreciated--due to travel plans, I need to fax this in tomorrow!

Thanks in advance.

Gen Chem recitation will be taught by a grad student. This is generally just a review session. Not sure if they still do this, but when I took it we took 7 quizzes and got to count our 5 highest as extra credit for the lecture. 10 min should be enough time unless you’re talking about main campus to blair or peabody.

“Staff” on a schedule usually means the department hadn’t decided who was going to teach the class when the university wanted the schedule submitted
