<p>MIT’s is ridiculously low (must be a citizen or permanent resident to apply early, for instance).</p>
<p>They don’t release the numbers specifically for internationals, but based upon what I have read, the international acceptance rate is roughly half of the overall acceptance rate.</p>

<p>Roughly half of national RD rate. Typically 1-3% for highly ranked school, whether in Ivy League or not.</p>
<p>REALLY selective. And remember, international applicants tend to be more self-selective than domestic applicants too. Geographic location is also plays a large role. Acceptance rates in China and India can dip below 1%, while it’s a whole different world in parts of Africa and rural areas of Europe.</p>
