What is the acceptance rate for internationals at Harvard, MIT?

Even if acceptance rate at harvard is about 6%, i guess for internationals it is about 1%, does smb know exact numbers?

MIT’s is ridiculously low (must be a citizen or permanent resident to apply early, for instance).

They don’t release the numbers specifically for internationals, but based upon what I have read, the international acceptance rate is roughly half of the overall acceptance rate.

<a href=“Admissions statistics | MIT Admissions”>http://mitadmissions.org/apply/process/stats

thx

Roughly half of national RD rate. Typically 1-3% for highly ranked school, whether in Ivy League or not.

REALLY selective. And remember, international applicants tend to be more self-selective than domestic applicants too. Geographic location is also plays a large role. Acceptance rates in China and India can dip below 1%, while it’s a whole different world in parts of Africa and rural areas of Europe.

point something %
