What is the ACT like compared to the SAT?

I haven't really heard much about the ACT, at my school it's all about the SAT and PSAT. So is the ACT easier, harder? What if I'm really bad at science.. does the science section on the ACT require a lot of science skill/knowledge?

imho, i think ACT is easier. The english section actually tests you on punctuations. ACT has no sentence completions. Its science section is pretty much Critical reading with numbers. Of course, basic science knowledge will definitely help, but it's not required. The major difference is math and the time factor. ACT math is actually harder. However if u took SAT math 2, u can do math on any standardized tests. If you struggled with time on the SAT, u will suffer on the ACT.

If you prepare for the SAT will that apply to the ACT. (Understanding that you do practice ACT tests and know the flow of the test, timing, and instructions). or is it better to divide your time and study each test specifically. It looks like the essay for each test is similar except for the time, is that right?
