Hi, I am an international student studying in the states - my average is around 96-97, with some research experience and STEM-focused ECs.
I submitted my application to UofT for Materials Science and Engineering in December. I also submitted my scholarship applications in late January.
My friend applying to natural sciences (bio) got his decision in December lolll (and he applied pretty early, in early Oct I think). I’m just nervous…
Does anyone know when would the decision come out (like an official date for all decisions)?
Is a long period of waiting good or bad? (i.e. are they considering me as a scholarship applicant along with admission or are they two different processes? — meaning that, suppose I do qualify for the scholarship, would I be notified of my decision, then scholarship? or at the same time?)
Have you been checking your engineering applicant portal?
There is no single decision date. Engineering decisions are a completely separate process from Arts and Science decisions. It is much easier to get admitted under life sciences than it is for engineering.
Most engineering decisions came out the first week of April last year.
@bouders thanks. I have been checking my portal regularly - still under review. Just don’t understand why they would state decision would come out 6-8 weeks upon receipt of application.
@BHan98 it’s 6-8 weeks after your file is considered complete (i.e. after all supporting documents have been submitted). This is what they state in the Join U of T portal.
