What is the best ACT book for learning the material?

I am new to the SAT and the only book I have so far is the Red Book. I looked through a practice test and I think I need help especially in the Reading section and maybe some practice with the English, Science section and Essay. I am thinking about getting the Princeton 1296 book, is that good? How does Princeton 1296 compare with the regular ACT book for Princeton.
Also, I got a 10 on the real SAT essay, but I don't know to write the ACT essays, is it similar?

I hav Cracking the ACT by The Princeton Review and find it very helpful - the Princeton 1296 simply contains a lot of questions, without as much review as Cracking the ACT.

It’s really a matter of preference - do you want more ?'s or more review?

more questions?
what should one go for?
how are they both different from each other?
