What is the best way to study for Chem 1LB Practical?

Hello everyone,

I know there have been some previous posts about the Chem 1LB practical and they all mention how brutal it is--in that it is a large amount of work in a small amount of time.

I had a couple quick questions:
1)Are there going to be discussion questions associated with the labs?

2) How many different labs does the practical consist of (parts of labs of course)?

3)And as the title suggests, what is the best way to prepare for this? I know that one should be solid on using Spartan but other than that-do you just go through procedures again and discussion questions?

Thanks for your help!!

anyone? bump.

1) yes, there will be questions about the labs.

2) best way is to read the directions for EVERY lab, because all the lab final is doing the same labs just WITHOUT directions.

3) learn how to use spartan so you dont get stuck on the spartan sections. bring your own usb in case.

A lot of my friends are freaking out about their lab practicals because they say they need to know how to do everything. I suggest that you memorize how to do all the labs because you won’t know what you are going to have to do-and you won’t have directions.

The guy above me is completely right.
