I will be a transfer student from a community college. I was wondering what the program focuses on, how difficult the transition will be from a CC to Davis’ program, sizes of the classrooms, and what a typical day in the life of a biomedical engineering student at Davis is like.

BME is one of the hardest majors. 200+ units. Takes more than 4 years on average. But…all worth it.

The classes are fairly small actually. At least the ones I am taking right now is.
I am only a sophomore and I am taking my first two upper division classes right now so I can’t really tell you how most BME classes are. But the ones I am taking are quite challenging.

If you are willing to put a lot of effort into it, then you shouldn’t have a problem.

If I apply as an undergraduate to BME is i hard to get in? Is BME hard to get in?

How difficult/time-intensive is BIM 1 Intro to BME? It’s 2 units, but is there a lot of homework/study time involved?
My son is trying to decide if he may want to change from CSE to BME.
Is Math 21B, Chem 2A, CSE 30, and BIM 1 too much for a first quarter freshman?
