What is the easiest Natural Science course?

I need to fulfill my distribution and I would like to take a Natural science course that is not too much work. I already took astro 102 and that was pretty easy. Any other suggestions?

maybe switch out of L,S, and plAy and take some real classes

The other lower level astro and geoscience courses aren’t too difficult. The easiest way to find out is probably by looking up the professors on ratemyprofessor.

ok thanks.

Good one, that was pretty clever. You’re an engineering freshman, I assume?

Anyway, as for NS classes, I recommend the geosci minicourses. Especially the dinosaurs one, geosci 103. There is a lot of stuff to remember (i.e. the names and characteristics of each order & family) but it’s a really light workload. It was pretty interesting too (to me anyway :p)

Edit: Also I agree with what KenLewis said about using rate my professors, even for the minicourses.

now now, not all of LSA is a joke.

biology of aids. only went to one class all semester and got an A. just make sure you show up for exams and the weekly discussion quizzes.

^yea i just found that class and it seemed pretty good, and somewhat interesting. Sounds like a winner.

^biology of aids…just memorizing information? or papers as well?

Some LSA majors are pretty tough. Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Philosophy and Physics are among the most challenging majors offered at the University, including the CoE.

English and History are easy for some but darn right impossible for others. Some people simply cannot digest 1,000 pages of literature per week.

^Yes. Many ignorant engineers discount the difficulty many people would have if they majored in something like Philosophy, English or History.

I don’t discount things I find useful. Like Physics, Math, Econ, etc.

It was just a joke guys. I know there are tough LSA majors out there. Relax.

Why does everyone **** around here with these course questions?

I’m in AOSS 102 right now and it’s a pretty easy class. It’s called Extreme Weather so you learn about hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning etc… There are three in class exams which account for 60% and an optional final. Basically if you pay attention, attend every lecture and take decent notes you will be in good shape. The professor is pretty good too (Perry Samson).

Adam

Bio 170 (Living by Evidence) is super easy, though somewhat frustrating that the prof has no idea how your grades will be calculated and doesn’t have a ctools (if that kind of thing matters to you). But basically, do 1 assignment each week and you should get an A.
