say in your case, if you get an F in 55, you still get 4 units tagged onto your transcript and you’re that much closer to graduating (although now you have 4 units of F on it…)

<p>Regarding Math 55 and CS 70 in general, does someone who wants to double major in math and CS now have to take both courses, even though they are mostly the same and they get only one course worth of credit? It used to be that there was only Math 55, and it was only required for CS majors (although Math 113 was allowed as a substitution even then).</p>
