During the SAOP, the beds seemed to be a little bit longer than my bed at home. I am guessing that Vanderbilt's bed is extra twin size? Is this right?

Also what should I have to buy? sheet, pillow and what else?

I measured the length of the beds I saw in Vandy-Barnard and Kissam and they were 78". This is slightly longer than a normal twin and slightly shorter than a twin extra-long. I was told by the tour guide and the housing department that regular twin sheets would fit, but I am planning on twin extra-long fitted sheets to allow for a mattress pad cover and shrinkage, etc.

I would suggest you bring a mattress pad, fitted and top sheets, pillow, and a comforter and/or a blanket.

I called housing and they said all the freshmen beds are 36 x 78. That's a little narrower and longer than a standard twin bed.
