Can anyone please confirm the bedding size needed for The Ingram Commons Freshman Dorms?
The “Welcome to your Vanderbilt Home” guide says:
Mattress
36"w x 78"l (standard twin sheets will fit most padding)

Thanks so much!
Would opt for twin XL. Twin could run a little short.
My daughter had no trouble at all with standard twin.
My S has used standard twin for two years with a memory foam matteress topper and has not had a problem.
Well just to play Devil’s Advocate, I used Twin and a thick mattress topper and my fitted sheet regularly came undone.
We got standard twin sheets. During one of the breaks we were shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond for something unrelated and my daughter mentioned that one corner of her sheets came off sometimes. I bought those sheet corner straps and she said it was perfect. It probably depends on the particular sheets you buy too. If they have a lot of depth, they will probably work on their own. If they’re not as deep, you could opt for the straps to hold the corners tighter or try twin XL. The straps might even help the XL sheets to fit better.
we bought Twin XL bottom sheet and used a standard top sheet. The topper Vandy son used for 4 years was Twin XL but here is where I think a Twin Standard memory foam mattress topper is a better choice unless you have a very tall person they won’t notice if there is an inch of memory foam lacking…
just to put in my two cents. This reminds me of an “ancient” CC thread from 2005 when applications were still being mailed in big manila envelopes from home. It was called “Staples or Paper Clip?” for all your student application essays, photo and school apps. There were a lot of conflicting opinions…
