Which sports are most popular and get the highest attendance? Or is this not a sports school at all?

Not a huge sports school. Squash and football are some of the top sports here, from what i’ve seen. Maybe swimming but I don’t know as much about that. Sports scene is pretty similar to other D3 NESCAC schools.

You might want to educate yourself before responding to posts. In fact, Trinity boasts many championship sports teams- men’s and women’s squash, men’s and women’s crew, football, baseball, and women’s lacrosse to name a few. They also have strong men’s and women’s ice hockey teams. They hired a new AD a few years ago and would be considered by most a very strong sports school. While they have a swim team and have just hired a new coach, their swim team is in a building phase at the moment and is not one of their strongest teams.

Squash at Trinity is legendary. I’ve heard that the top squash players are treated almost like quarterbacks at big football schools.
Trinity is Division I in squash meaning that we play against Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, etc. We also are consistently ranked #1 and #2 in both men’s and women’s teams each season, meaning we actually beat a lot of big name schools (which is great considering how small our school is). The Men’s National Squash Championship was hosted at Trinity this year and our athletic center was packed when Trinity men’s played St. Lawrence in the final championship (and won!). This year, the women’s team lost in the championship finals against Harvard.
We’re also nationally ranked in Men’s Ice Hockey (4th in the nation), Women’s Lacrosse (2nd in the nation, been in the National Championship finals since 2010, I believe), Women’s Rowing and Men’s Rowing (consistently ranked in the top ten in the nation; in 2014, Women’s Rowing defeated 8 time champions, Williams College for the national championship title). Our men’s basketball has improved a lot in the past years and actually topped the NESCAC league this year. I went to the #1 Bowdoin vs. #2 Trinity home game (Trinity won!) and the student section was ecstatic.
@sgopal2 not sure where you heard that but I think you are mistaken
@TrincollNS15 This is from Paul Assiante’s book: Run to the Roar (about his experience coaching the Squash teams at Trinity). Its a great book you should take a look
@sgopal2 A member of the squash team is one of my roommates
