I'm just curious whether any one has heard what the official target size for the College is these days?

In the message for Waitlisted students, the Admissions Office referred to an incoming class of 1,400 (though they've been running a bit larger than that.) Add in 50 transfer students.

That comes out to about 5,750 total (keeping in mind you lose a few along the way and some may graduate early. Estimating 3 years of enrollment for transfer students.)

Years ago the plan was to increase the College to 5,000. Then I saw 1,350 as the incoming class size. This Fall there were 5,400 undergrads. The newer classes have been larger than the upper classes. The College would reach 5,750 in about two years if the above assumptions are correct.

The registrar had these stats posted online for Fall 2011
