What is the total cost to attend Baylor? Is it $39K per year?

I got $15K in scholarship. Are there any additional scholarships out there from Baylor? I am not entitled for NM scholarship. It is too expensive.

Won’t you apply for need-based financial aid also? First of all, the Cost of Attendance is about $43k. That includes books and miscellaneous personal expenses on top of the $40k tuition/fees/room/board. Next year it will probably be $45k.

So you take off $15k, and you’re at $30k. Maybe you’ll get another $10k in need-based financial aid… or more, or less. You can’t know until you send in your FAFSA in January.

If you don’t qualify for need-based aid, then I’m not sure what to say. Are you implying that parents who make enough money to disqualify you from need-based aid can’t come up with $30k per year? Or won’t? I think you should post this question in the Financial Aid section of this website. I think there are non-need based loans available.

As low as its ranked, is it worth the cost?

DunninLA, my parents make over 155K, the EFC will be around $40K. So I can kiss the need-based goodbye. I may have to forgo on Baylor.

I understand need-based won’t be an option with a $40k efc at Baylor… well maybe they’ll give you a little. COA at Baylor next year will be $46k (most privates will be $56k - $60k next year), and subtracting your $15k scholarship, leaves you at $31k.

If $31k doesn’t work, I guess public is the best way to go, or maybe another school can give you enough merit aid to get your COA below $31k.

Have you filled out the Baylor Financial Aid estimator? <a href=“One Stop Student Financial Services | Baylor University”>One Stop Student Financial Services | Baylor University;

Thanks for the thread, was looking into this myself.

With my parents making over 160k a year, and having money saved, my EFC is about 45k.

Baylor’s givin me a 12.5k scholarship, but not sure its worth paying like 140k for undergrad!
