What is up with all these hookah bars sprouting up?

So I recently found out that a lot of people in my school smoke hookah a lot. They consider it different and cooler than smoking. They also seem to think that it is safe.
Well...
It is not safe and makes them looks like idiots.
Anyone else notice a spike in hookah users amongst your acquaintances?

Everybody smoked hookah on the French exchange... but not back at my school.

Maybe they're just trying to be culturally aware...trying to get in touch with the Arabic/Persian community through their own portal?

^Yeah, I'm being sarcastic.

lmao ***? what kind of school do you go to?

Yes, but then again I go to private school. Nothing shocks me anymore.

public, anywhere from mediocre to bad

My school is awesome...we're a very wealthy bunch, so we not only drink alcohol in school, but fine wine that's a grand a bottle. Just fantastic! Oh well, what can ya do?

Do you live/go to school in the city, nyjunior?

No, I live in a relatively small, rich, conservative, and almost entirely white (except for some asians) town called Jericho. I specifically live in this secluded sector (called Muttontown), where each house is surrounded by acres and acres of land...this stinks because I personally prefer urban areas, which is mostly why I'm going to apply to Columbia, Harvard, etc, and stay away from Cornell, Stanford, and whatnot.

Ah, that does sound stifling. Rather.
Jericho, LI, I'm assuming. Haha, Muttontown--does that ever make you hungry?

I'm not much for mutton, but Oyster Bay is right there too, and that makes me hungry.

Yes I have. Somehow they are getting the impression that it is safer because it "washes the tobacco".

To me, smoke is smoke, and smoke is bad for you.

Oyster Bay. I'm allergic, I think.

Hey, you know what, I just thought of something: you must be a very smart sunny rabbit, going to a private school and all. Most rabbits don't get the opportunity to go to school at all (actually, I didn't even know rabbits went to school!) Not to mention, you must be a very skilled typer, typing with paws and all. Lastly, you must be a very sensitive rabbit, having allergies and all.

people somke hookah here too, but only like in parties ....I don't really see anythign wrong with it, I'm used to people smoking in parties so I'd rather have them smoke hookah so it at least smells goodhahaa

Fluffyyy too

I actually had no clue smokin hookah was even slightly popular here, but they do it a lot in India, especially in clubs and anywhere they play billiards. Cigars smell better though, but hookah does supposedly "clean" the tobacco, so it is healthier I guess.

actually its worse
review published in the medical journal Pediatrics found that the concentration of cancer-causing and addictive substances in water pipes is as high as or higher than those found in cigarettes.Additional dangers not encountered with cigarette smoking are infectious diseases resulting from pipe sharing and the frequent addition of alcohol or psychoactive drugs to the tobacco

Yeah I don't doubt it... I just can't believe the places selling this stuff are getting away with those claims... Can we say big tobacco round #2?

Shoot, that's how I roll.
No but seriously--I previously explained the fact that I could type with my mind using my teeth and antennae like ears for projection. And lots of rabbits have allergies but I think my allergies come from my sunny side (haha like eggs but not). And I do consider myself a smart sunny rabbit--thank you.
