<p>What is welcome week like and what would you suggest doing to meet the most people and have fun? Where did you end up meeting most of your NYU friends?</p>
<p>depends what school your in. If you have orientation during welcome week, you'll be doing different things than those that don't</p>
<p>But regardless theres alot of fun things at night, such as magic show, hypnotist, comedy show, etc... Alot of people think there "too cool" for them...but there really fun, and you'll make alot of friends there</p>
<p>Whatever you do...DO NOT be a hermit welcome week, whether you want to go to events, go to parties, or meet people in your dorms...your friends and image will be impacted alot by how you act during welcome week.</p>
<p>Are the activities mandatory or could you just explore NYC with a bunch of new friends?</p>
<p>everything is optional, even <em>mandatory</em> orientation--atleast in stern-- is optional, as in nothing bad happens if you don't show up.</p>
