What is Wellesley's math major like?

I’m a community college student hoping to transfer to Wellesley this fall. I’d like to double major in math and computer science with heavy emphasis on math. How much time does a typical student spend on homework? Do most math major students plan for graduate school? I’m planning on going to graduate school (hopefully a doctorate) in math. What is Wellesley’s graduate school placement like? What about job placement? Are there opportunities for research within Wellesley in math?

My daughter’s first year roommate was a math major. She had plenty of research projects (we went to her Tanner conference thing on 3D printing) and ended up getting a job at Google. All of the top grad schools know Wellesley’s reputation and accept students from there every year.

You will work your tail off regardless of what you study!

Thanks for your reply. I was rejected, haha!
