What is worse, a semester full of Ws or bad grades that lower your GPA?

My question is, what should I do in my current situation? Take W's for all of my classes(which I can still do) or finish them out with horrible grades that lowers my overall GPA even lower than it already is (its a 2.43 right now)? I do not plan on attending this school in the future if I drop out.

Let me explain my situation. I graduated from my community college with a 2.5 GPA. I then got admitted to a 4 year state school and in my first semester, in the spring of 2012, I got a 2.43 (not great, I know). I started off community college very poorly because I was lost and unmotivated. That changed after a few years in the "real world" so then I decided that I was going to take school seriously and get my grades up and a 2-year degree and hopefully get into a 4 year university. I worked my butt off to get my GPA back up and my prayers were answered, I dug myself out of academic probation and I even made the dean's list one semester. On top of that, I was admitted to a the University at Albany!

So here's the dumb part. I applied to a few schools and pretty much all of them denied me with the exception of the University at Albany that accepted me. As some people know, this school has a reputation of being a very hard partying school. My problem was (I am so stupid, I feel embarrassed to even say this) that I had been longing for the "college experience" ever since I graduated from High School. What I thought was the ideal "college experience" was what I had seen in movies, people streaking across the football field, making slip and slides in the dorm hallways, hooking up with girls, doing keg stands, etc.(I've already learned that its all pretty overrated and immature and I'm glad that I quickly got it out of my system.)I have to admit, I was excited by the prospects of going away for the first time and on top of that, having the time of my life while being in school! Needless to say, this affected my GPA and it resulted me in having a 2.43 in the spring semester which could have been easily much higher if I has spent half of my time partying studying for classes. Although the peer pressure to go out and drink was tremendous, I completely regret going out all those times when I could have been doing more productive things. The reason my GPA is so important is that I wanted to get admitted into the school of business so I could study accounting. The school of business at the University at Albany requires a 3.25 minimum GPA. If I complete this semester with the way its going (I already have one W) I will likely end up with a lower GPA than which I had before.

My plan is to go back to my community college, now with a clear goal in mind, and declare an 2 year accounting major designed to transfer out and raise my GPA higher than its ever been so I can reapply to a different/better school. The main reason I ask about the (semester of 4 W's vs. semester of really bad grades) is if I do apply to transfer out in the fall, they are probably going to look at my last school since my spring community college grades are not going to be in until May. Hopefully they consider my grades that I am going to get this spring, but it is probably unlikely. So I would rather them look at a 2.43 instead of a 2.2 or a 2.0 which I am probably going to get? I am not sure which looks worse on a transcript, hence the question. Thank you all who read through my sad story lol I really appreciate any help or responses.
