No… they’re having students they pay 11.50 an hour throw away boxes and boxes of rejected applications. jk

Actually, heard they debate up to the last few days. Right now, they probably have a good pool of who they want to accept, and are pruning away the last few hundred.

It makes sense for them to have most of their decisions ready by now. i mean it’s not like they’re gonna decide everything on the 14th of December and be ready to update everything.

^You’re supposed to wait until you get accepted to like the page. Then everyone knows you got in w/o updating your status. And you can act all nonchalant about it, “ya Yale’s alright… no big deal though.”

oh if I get into Yale I am putting it in big uppercased letters on my fb status! It’s something to be proud of, and no one else from my school is applying there. It is the easiest and quickest was to share it will all of my friends.

I would wait until after school the next day so that I could see the looks on my friends’ faces when I told them. Then I’ll go shout from the social networking rooftops :)

If there are almost 20 SCEA applicants from my school, and on the off 1% chance that I do get in… the question is, to facebook status or to not to facebook status?

“If there are almost 20 SCEA applicants from my school, and on the off 1% chance that I do get in… the question is, to facebook status or to not to facebook status?”

It depends on whether or not you like those people and want to spare their feelings :P

Yale STILL hasn’t received one of my teacher recommendations. -_- This is ****ing me off so much. One of my teachers didnt send my letters untill 2nd week of November. Either he misplaced Yale or didnt send it. Greaaaat. Will they move me from EA to RD? I really wish they wouldn’t, but then again I’d rather be deferred than denied flat out. But my application status has a check under it… Bleh

I think in that case you’ll look much better if you leave it out of your status. People will find out soon enough. Think how much it would suck if you got rejected and you see your friends posting how they got into Yale.

But your second teacher recommendation doesn’t have a check? Have you confirmed it with the admissions office?

Haha well I meant I like the Eli Page, that answers questions for admissions and stuff.
But yeah I will probably like the Yale page, on the off chance I get in. My confidence has hit abyssal levels lately, and I’m no longer expecting anything magical, for this at least.

I’m not going to post my decision on my Facebook the day I do get it because 1. people definitely talk at my school and when I posted that I got accepted into UC Davis for ELC really really early, people talked behind my back and 2. I would want my friends to know first directly through me than random people on facebook.

I am gonna put “I GOT INTO YALE!” or something like that as my status. If possible I’d underline and embolden it (although, well, that’s not possible).
Really guys, if you get in, that probably will be the biggest achievement in your lives. Who cares what others think, really.

I mean, if you get into one of the best schools in the world, isn’t there a better place to flaunt that fact flat out than Facebook! :P
