<p>MIT totally rocks if you're interested in Science but a lot of people would rather go into Social Sciences/Humanities and a lot of people are still wavering between Science and other stuff (me for example) which would explain why more people would prefer other unis...but ultimately MIT has an awesome yield rate coz people who apply and get admitted would be fools not to accept :p</p>

<p>Anyone who's remotely interested in science/engg. wants to go to MIT. Everyone is crazy about it. And like everyone, I've wanted to go MIT since 8th grade. Like everyone, I too have wept whole nights thinking of the possibility of not getting there.</p>
<p>And merely 4 of us will make it thru this exodus. This is life.

<p>well, no one here knows about social life, acadamic life about colleges so I researched alot on the net, from like campusdirt.com and stuff. Also, I looked at pictures. Alot of it was based on pictures. I dont think i could ever attend a college with a yucky campus. up till 1.5 years ago, the only university in u.s i knew was harvard. My first choices went from.. harvard, stanford, princeton, yale, johns hopkins (for a long time), pennsylvania (long time), princeton, duke, johns hopkins, harvard,johns hopkins, princeton (current 1st). It'll probably change again.</p>

What attracts you to mit? I dont know much about it. Is it mainly the acadamics? I heard that people dont sleep there. The only thing i can think of is it's location.</p>
