"After giving your application an initial review, we find that one or more documents, supporting materials, or additional items of information are still required to complete your application. Be sure to regularly monitor the email address we have on record for you (shown above) for any messages from the Admissions Office about your application. Unless otherwise indicated, all required materials must be postmarked by the application closing date for autumn quarter 2010. The transcripts and test scores currently entered in our data base are listed below."

ever since Christmas Eve!... ughh. But they haven't emailed me.. So I emailed them twice already but still no answer. So, I'm going to call them today. Does anyone else have the same status as me? This whole waiting period is killing me half to death! haha.

I’m still awaiting initial review. But I’m not missing anything… :(

Pumpkins…
Whoever you do talk to won’t give you your admission decision over the phone if you’re asking if that’s what might happen.
It will probably be an Admissions Officer but I doubt it’s someone that makes the decisions. It’ll be someone that is supposed to help you in the admissions process.
I suggest going to the chat sessions that are every Tuesday and Thursday 4-5 PST. There are one or two Admissions Officers that will answer any questions you have or tell you who to ask if it’s more specific to something else (like the Honors Program or something for example). There aren’t too many people that do it, at least not at first. I’ve done it twice and there were only ever one or two other people.

Also to pumpkins-
even if the person you’re talking to IS an admission officer who does determine if people get in or not, that person may not be the person looking at your specific application. If you mention your name, they most likely wont remember it 30 minutes later unless 1) It’s something like “Elvis Presley” 2) They wrote it down.

Also, although they say on their website to not call them because they get agitated and annoyed and all that, it’s a good idea to if you’re concerned about your application. My friend sent her app in Dec 1, still at initial review. She kept bugging the Seattle admiss. officers until they found that they had misplaced her application (it’s electronic, so I’m not sure how that happened…) And now her status is at ‘we have received all materials.’

I just read your post and we are in exactly same boat. I have same message since December 15th. I have submitted missing materials but status hasn’t change yet. Have you contact admission office?

I submitted my application on October 7th, and they entered my transcripts on November 6th. Since then, my status has been “We have received all materials required to review your application. Your application will remain in this status until decisions are finalized. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.” I just want to hear back already!!!

I just checked my application status and it changed to “We have reviewed your application. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.”

erm…and then I clicked unofficial transcript but it wasn’t loading it…Is this a bad news…?

worldier,
it means that they are not finished reviewing your app or still didn’t make a decision.
it only appears once your status changes to “reviewed.”
i’m on the same situation, so no worries.

worldlier - it said reviewed on my myUW but my transcript loaded the next day. IF they have made a decision I think they mark it in the computer, and the computer uploads the transcripts at certain times… I remember a friend of mine checking as an approx time for her grades at UW, and saying that even if teachers upload grades, the system hasn’t ‘loaded’ them up. Don’t worry about it :)

How long after the status changes to “We have reviewed your application. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made” have people been receiving their decisions?

Within 3 days I was able to see “unofficial transcript” from myuw page. Someone had posted a message on CC that this is a clear indication of admission. It took 2 more days to get the letter.

Are you able to look at your unofficial transcript? I think I had to customize to get the link for unofficial transcripts. I think it is under Student Personal Services.
