Something along those lines

Harvard or Princeton. I've always thought of those as my "dream" schools since I saw them driving back from Toronto when I was in middle school.

However, with my grades, those were out of my league.

I'll be going to Emory this fall, which I fall in love with more and more every time I visit =)

Chicago, Harvard, MIT...top econ schools
I'm also a big fan of the Big Te(leve)n colleges.

Dream schools I'd want to send my unborn kids: Princeton, Brown, Berkeley, maybe 'furd

^^^ GHASP

NO! Stanfuurd?!?!?!?!?!?!

This week's sign of the apocalypse:
"A Los Angeles man, a graduate of the highly prestigious UCB Chemical Engineering department, recently announced that he wishes his unborn child...."

hehe. sorry, couldn't help it ;)

If I got into Berkeley, I would probably cry.

I must dream big and say Harvard. Even the illiterate know what Harvard is. But I didn't apply there so now I'm going to Stanford. In my opinion, the Gothic architecture, colonial-feel, and intellectual atmosphere all are superior to the laid-back, California feel of Harvard.

While unlikely, he could mean "Oxfurd"...if not you should be ashamed UCBChemEGrad!

...And congrats iamtooperfect! I like that you're modest in your SN as well.

You mean laid-back, California feel of Stanford...right? Because Stanford is dominated with Spanish Revival architecture, not Gothic...I don't even think I'd say Harvard is known for Gothic architecture...at least not as much as Duke and Princeton.

i think the way the big 10 logo has the 11 in there is so sneaky!

but, growing up in michigan, and despite the fact i'm somewhat financially forced to stay in state, i still love ann arbor and the college experience i hope to one day experience there. plus, the college of engineering's 5 year sequential graduate and undergraduate studies program is SO APPEALING. a bachelors and masters in 5 years?! love it.

i'm only applying to big 10 schools. i'd love to attend wisconsin or northwestern (if i could get in) as well.

but real big dreams? i'd LOVE to go to school in california. it's where i plan to live one day, since i think one of the only good things about the midwest are the college towns...

It's a shame mt522, but your feelings are the feelings of many high school/college students in Michigan. It seems right now that the state is just collapsing. It's so sad, but understandable why you would want to go elsewhere. Best of luck to you.

georgetown!

oh yeah haha sorry about the typo. i mean laid-back california feel of stanford. stanford is still good! better than harvard in many respects

well i always liked stanford so i could say in a pretentious accent that i got go to stan-fuhd. if i ever get to harvard medical school, i could say i go to ha-vuhd.

UW-Madison

Harvard is more Georgian than gothic or anything else.
