my pet peeve is people who talk about themselves as if they are the center of the earth
another one is slow drivers!!! the speed limit is 55!!!

Hm, if school related–i just can’t stand teachers not shutting up after the tests have been passed out. it totally destroys my concentration.

In general, it really bothers me when people start to say something but quickly end with “nevermind.”

People who never stop talking about themselves and use every opportunity to mention one of their past experiences. I know someone who, after my best friend died, said, “oh, that sucks” and then turned it into a competition and talked about how his experience was worse. That just really ****ed me off.

People putting their feet up on the back legs of my chair.

People whining about getting an A- or a perfectly fine SAT score.

People trivializing the work you do.

People leaning on my shoulder because I’m short

When people look over my shoulder when I’m on the computer.

When I have my guitar and people ask me if I can play (insert Guitar Hero song here), and then say I’ll be good when I learn that song. I guess since they can play Through Fire and Flames on expert, I should be able to play it on a real guitar… even if Dragonforce can’t.

People who have to take every opportunity they have to prove how much smarter they are than everyone else.

When teachers don’t grade things, or just don’t do their job in general.

When people talk through movies, or don’t pay attention then ask you questions about it. Seriously, just watch the freaking thing and you’ll find out.

Also relating to movies, when people take their little kids to R or PG-13 movies. Granted, my mom took me to see Kill Bill when I was 10, but a 5 year old does not need to be seeing Watchmen.

^^Omg, your best friend died? I’m so sorry:(

1) People who walk slow…it’s just annoying, at least move out of the way so I can pass you
2) People who put you down
3) People who are very self-oriented and won’t do simple favors for you(ex: take two seconds to see what room number you are in when you weren’t at school)
4) People who think they are cool by swearing and wearing their pants down to their knees
5) People who degrade others and care only on physical appearances. Some people are beautiful, just not in the ways society acknowledges them.

^Wart, I dont think most of them are pet peeves, I think those are bigger problems than “pet peeves,” which are usually smaller things, like your fast walking one.

I second the teachers not doing their job by grading. We have taken ONE test all semester so far (10 weeks in) in Block Biology. It was in the 5th week of school, and we just got it back on Friday. Seriously. He promised us extra credit because he was so “late” but he decided since we all got 100% we didnt need it. The test took forever but it was so easy… gah.

The class complains about it everyday, and I second it. He ALWAYS says “You know, I have 80 students (oh no!), and I want to read what you write.”

My English teacher (who is a harsh grader) spent 20-30 minutes on each research paper we wrote and had it back to us after a week, which is amazing.

That was a long rant, but I’m getting tired of him not doing his job.

P.S: He announced a project that we’ll be starting tomorrow: Working with a partner to teach the class about one of the 14 topics listed. It has to be a 42.5 minute presentation. Oh brother.

^Haha, perhaps not…o well:)

^^^Lol, I would be that person who talks through movies:/ O well, my friends do it too so it’s ok:)

People who call things that annoy them “pet peeves.” That’s such an unappealing and gross name.
