In response to Common App's qn 2, what is(are) your reason(s) to transfer?

Other than the fact that I'm in a 2-year college, the students are, in some ways, less mature than middle school students. Everything is about looks, and parties. Everyone knows eachother already, because everyone went to the same high school. It's a small community in a small town, and I feel like I'm not welcome. None of the students have anything semi-intellectual/important to say...ever.

Well I was wondering whether
"the town where my school is located in lacks a cosmopolitan feel"
is a good reason.

In addition, do you think that by saying "my school is not good in whatever discipline I am pursuing" is a good reason? Afterall, you don't have to go to the best sch and you can still become something.

Yes and no. I mean, stating something like "well, I just love the city" or whatever is a bit generic. Like, take for example, George Washington University. I'm sure that's all they hear in their apps. So, though you may want to list it, be more specific and of course have other examples.

In my Hopkins essay, I put a humorous line about the people in my area being "ethnocentric and closed-minded." Then again, they rejected me lol.
