You see!! There you go. Compare me with the previous poster here. If she's not lying, her entire school must be ridiculously easier than mine...I'm guessing it has something to do with her demographics (i.e. female in Minneapolis, MN vs Asian Male in NJ (ugh)).

just kidding hahaha
2220/3.8

and yea the grading policies are different at every school.. it sucks because i took 3 AP's sophmore year, 6 junior year and im in 6 now, but im still class rank 7 because i got a B in ONE of them.. whereas class rank #1 kid has just taken 5 APs altogether and gotten A's....

its lame..

AngelFidelis

You see why they say Harvard (or other Ivies) reject a large percentage of Valedictorians? Rigor will trump rank.

yeah, many of the kids in our top 20 kids are all clustered in the 94-97 GPA, yet the lower end 94 area were all the AP kids rank is lower, but SAT/ACT scores are much stronger.

Our #9 kid has a GPA of 95, yet cant break a 1000/1600 on the SAT after 3 tries. 1300/2400. When looking at our Naviance scattergrams it makes no sense when you look at the schools that are in your range of GPA and SAT who got in and who didn't. ALmost leads one to think if you can swing the application fees, and your course load was difficult you have strong SATs/ACTs just apply where ever you think is the best fit.

Angelfidelis,

wow angel, 3 ap's as a sophomore. Your school must be a top end school. What classes did they allow you to take as a sophomore? my school only lets sophomores take 1 ap.

well almost everyone took AP Euro.. but i started spanish I in seventh grade and it was the last year they offered that class for 7th graders hahah so i lucked out, but either way i got through to Spanish IV as a sophmore - A's both semesters, but i got a 3 on the AP test because I'm white as hell

and for my third "AP" its actually just honors math analysis .. i should have been in calculus, but my parents were retarded and wouldn't let me take algebra in 6th grade because they thought it was too hard....

2400/4.0 rank 2 of 804 but there's mass grade inflation at my school (I've gotten a 100 in every class but gym, AP Spanish 5, and AP Bio). My entire schedule this year is AP classes (now CHem, Calc BC, World HIstory, and Physics lol)

2290(1560) superscored with a 3.8ish GPA from what I would guess.

Yes! Finally someone else without five 10th grade AP's! Everywhere I look there's people with 5.0 W GPA's, lol.

Anyway, I'm only in 10th grade, so I haven't taken the SAT's, but my UW GPA last year was 4.0, and this year so far is around 4.4 (W is 4.5, so, since I only have one AP, UW should be c. 4.4). PSAT's last year were 183, and still awaiting this year's (hoping for 200-210).

BUT, i did get a 33 on the ACT so i guess we can say 2190-2220ish?
