What it takes to get into Brown?

<p>I’m looking into getting into Brown, i have been really interested in Brown since i entered High School, i am a 10th now, and me and my school Adm. says i might finish a year early so tec. i am almost a Jr. I have good grades, i had Stright A’s all first semester, than i got a C and a B and than the rest A’s. I just got a little crazy, my family was loosing are house and my dad lost his job, so i was upset. Anyways, what is Brown Looking For? I love English, and Science. Give me some pointers and advice. Please. My School does not offer Ap but they do offer Honors, which i am working on taking most of my courses in this year, my teacher says i quailfy for it. Im Homeschooled, but all records are kept by a private school, and they call it Joshua Christian High School.</p>

<p>I was in a peculiarly similar situation as you. I am applying this year though. My mom lost her job last year and my grades were BBBBBAA for first semester of sophomore year. Try to self-study for AP exams and take them.
You are fine for now, just keep being active in school and outside of school. Start studying for your SAT’s if you are graduating after your Junior year. You will need a 2100-2300 to be competitive.</p>
