The undergraduate BS program can be described as non-traditional and more directed at adult students or part-time undergraduates. The biggest thing to note is that the undergraduate program is taught at the Columbia campus and is not associated with what is traditionally considered the undergraduate school of Johns Hopkins University (Homewood Campus – Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and Whiting School of Engineering). If you are a high school student looking for a full-time college enrollment experience studying business, then the Carey School is probably not the avenue you want to pursue.

Also note that it’s phasing out the program. Apparently starting a new undergraduate program was not a great success.

I think for people looking for a career in business, there are plenty of existing pathways, including a small number of very elite undergraduate programs (Wharton, etc.) What is so attractive about Finance that makes you think it will be more popular in twenty years than it is now?
