What kind of degree can you get to become a human resources manager?

Do you have to have a bachelors or high in human resources? Or do you think a general degree in business administration would be just as good? What other degrees are there that would lead me to a position as a human resources manager?

I know HR falls under the Management department at my school, but I’m sure certain psychology courses with a business minor could work. Those going into HR have to take a lot of psychology courses focusing on business. Look up some schools that offer HR as a concentration or major, and then look at the required courses.

HR doesn’t really have it’s own major.

You can get a degree in Human Services, Sociology, Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management or something similar. Or you can just pick up a Human Resource Management certificate through your elective classes. I know Columbia College offers this emphasis and certificate online, so you can earn it from anywhere.
