If I HAD to get one it would probably be a good old German Shephard. My grandma had that kind of dog...best dog I ever knew. My uncle recently bought a Bichon Frise for his daugher (but it's more his dog than hers). That thing wants too much personal attention.

German Shepard haha everyone is scared of my dog when they see it

Why wasn't this thread faxed to me? I am totally obsessed with dogs! My best friend Axl Rose (yeah I know) lasted 11 of the best years of my life. I just wish my buddy could have seen me graduate college. (poor pup died in 2001) Now my parents have a nice dog named Malley (like the chocolate) and her answer to everything is to scratch her belly. I am convinced that she thinks that is the answer to the world's problems. i.e. Every world leader scratch my belly, then they will see how cute I am and the problems will go away. She has a nice point, everyone could learn a lesson (including myself) from Malley.

BTW, she is a Norweigan Elkhound.

I have an Australian Cattle Dog who is my best friend (and I will be really surprised if anyone has ever heard of her breed). She's a bit overweight since my parents won't stop giving her table scraps, but oh well. She's so funny and never ceases to amaze me. I do dog shows with her too, so that's a lot of fun.

excellent falcon! Dogs are on this earth for one purpose, to be spoiled. Go Browns!

Jack Russell. I think these dogs are best described as eccentrric. Some are nuts and some are just strange. His name is Milo, which we found out after naming him is the name of 1/3 of all male Russells (who knew). He's not quite a year old yet. He is, without a doubt, the most amazing dog ever. Most humans don't compare.

Once Mandy gets better and I buy a house (alledegly sp?) I will take in all dogs and name every single pup LeBron.

I have a fat beagle, she can "open" cans of food or pop if she's ever so inclined. we once had this bag of rice on the floor, she chewed it open and ate a lot of it.
I've heard stories about beagles being able to break into refrigerators.

i have a pomeranian.. haha, we have a love/hate relationship, but i don't know what my family would do w/o my doggie (he is so frickin spoiled!). bluefalcon, my dad had an Australian Cattle Dog when he was little.. he absolutely loved it.

Basset hounds got those big flappy ears like Dumbo.

Labs are adorable.

Rovee- Pomeranians are really funny! However, they are a little froofroo for me!

I actually have a basset hound labrador mix. He has a lab face and basset hound body so he's kinda funny looking!

I have a golden retriever. He has various facial expressions, and he definitely likes to smile. He's very spoiled, but we can't help it. He weighs about 90 pounds, but he thinks he's a lap dog (literally). :)

A reminder to everyone- Don't post pictures of your dogs. We'd like to see them, but the mods don't allow people to post personal pictures/links.

If the mods want to delete my picture, that's fine, but I don't think I was violating the TOS agreement. In fact, I just read the TOS and I couldn't find a rule against it. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. I know I can't post personally identifiable things, but not a silly picture of a dog.

For now, though, please post pics of your dogs. Please!

we had 8 cocker spaniels. see http://www.livejournal.com/users/beckygirl383

i HATE german shepards. one of them tried to kill my baby once, and he almost did successfully.

More of a cat person. Though I'd love to have a half-wolf named Dienfenbaker.

We have a HUGE white german shepherd. He's so bad but so cute and so personable. We've spend so much money on training him and he's so smart... but doesn't listen worth crap when he doesn't want to. Plus, he wears sweaters. We go to the groomer to pick out sweaters for him and the lady always makes fun of us for making our dog look like a "chick's dog"...

I love parrots... at one point I had four but now have none. I will eventually get another but after college.

I am now in the process of starting a reef tank.... anemones and a pair of clownfish and maybe a few shrimp. Who ever said fish tanks were boring?!??

freckly: You are not old enough to be having babies, wait a couple years.
