What kind of iPad should I purchase??

Hey guys,

So I've decided to buy an iPad, but I'm really lost at which kind to buy. There seems to be so many options out atm. Can you all lend me your Apple-savvy advice? This'll be my first Apple product, and I'm thinking about switching over to an iPhone, too. (my parents and most of my friends have them, so it just makes sense)

As for usage, I'll probably use it for taking notes in class and browsing the Web. I'm not a big movie-watcher, so I won't be downloading any full-lengths or anything. Also, I'm going to be studying abroad this summer, but I know I'll have wifi hooked up to my room. So right now, I'm leaning towards 16GB Wi-Fi only, but I don't know if I should go with the Air or the Mini 2 or an older version since I won't be doing anything extraordinary. (Money-wise, I don't want to spend more than maybe $650. More than that seems a little excessive.)

Thoughts? Experiences? Stories? Do share :) thanks!

If you don’t want to spend more than $650, then I would suggest buying the iPad Air, 16GB (Wifi only). It’s the newest one out there, and works like a charm. (My dad has one.) I have an iPad 2, which I baught in the summer of 2011, and still works perfectly fine. Apple products are very good because they are sure to last you a couple of years without slowing down. I plan on getting rid of my iPad 2 and get the lastest one available to start my 2014 fall freshman year.

I agree with Meeply. My cousin has one, and its awesome. Im planning on buying one also. And for storage, if 16GB ends up not being enough for you, you could always but more storage FROM THE IPAD. Apple products last long, and are easy to use. I highly recommend buying an otterbox for your ipad.
