What kind of legacies "count"?

<p>Like my mom went to and worked at Yale- does that count as a legacy?
My cousin from India moved to my house for 4 years because he got accepted into Yale, would that count too?</p>

<p>Also, my uncle, who was one of my mentors for a scientific research project went to Stanford. Would that help out at all?</p>
