My clones comment was sarcasm…

I guess I’m known as that smart laid-back black kid… I’m not amazingly popular, but I know people and they know me… I just don’t go out of my way because I don’t care about a social life lol

@logic…from reading your previous posts, I was pretty much spot on in guessing what you’re like.

It’s really quite funny how much people transmit their feelings/real life actions into words on paper.

@tennis You sound like my annoying oboe partner…

I’m the quiet, smart, sarcastic, Asian girl that you could easily miss if you didn’t look hard enough. I wouldn’t consider myself ‘popular’, but a lot of people know me and say ‘hi’ in the hallways.

Teachers love pulling on my strings because they know I’m a very focused, quiet person so they’ll say these things about me that everyone knows isn’t true. They love, absolutely love, saying that I cussed in class or they’ll say that I failed a test in front of the whole class when I actually haven’t.

I’m that kind of guy who likes to make the most out of every moment. Sometimes I’m funny, sometimes I’m just plain stupid and annoying. I got a good group of friends that I wouldn’t trade for anything in this world.

I really hang out with people from all groups, meeting them through sports or classes. I don’t like to stay in particular with one set of people, but in high school you kinda have to have those certain few that you can chug a beer with. Definitely not popular, but definitely not a nerd (although I feel a bit more nerdy since I have given up sports this year…my senior year, but that’s another story for another time). Close with a few of my teachers, the rest I get along with, so it’s all good.

Note: I don’t drink.

@iman123194: Well obviously I’m college oriented, but why does that mean I can’t be rebellious? The two definitely aren’t mutually exclusive; a visit to any upper tier college will tell you that. And lol, how exactly am I a “poser?” What am I “posing” as? I told you exactly what I was and what I did. Where did you get this impression of “posing?” I’m not being anything I’m not.

goodnoodle: Lol, you did sound a lot like me in sophomore year. Yeah for clones!!

CE527M: It’s actually quite true. When I read my and other people’s writing, it really surprises me how much I can deduce about them. But I guess that’s the sign of good writing, when you can see someone’s personality through their words.

Uh, my school is quite small so mostly everyone knows everyone. I actually was in/still am in a lot of grade 12 classes so I know the class of 2012 and 2013 better than I do my own class (2014) and in many cases- have better relationships with them. It doesn’t help that I moved to this school late, too.

Generally, I’m seen as the busy, somewhat serious and generally apathetic (towards school activities) person. Sometimes when I’m stressed, I can be a little annoying (i.e. I get ****ed when people in my class goof off and waste time) but generally, I am ok with everyone.

Prolonging the pain of intercom announcments is verboten. tennis625, for the good of the community please just staph.

Wow everyone sure did hate on Tennis.

@goodnoodle, haha thats funny. It’s a little different… All through elementary school teachers thought I was un-teachable and I was always sent to the principles office and at some point I was kicked out of school and when I came back I was out in the special Ed class… Middle school was similar, people thought I was stupid, I didn’t care if I got in trouble (mostly got in trouble since I was a smart Alec) and then when I got to highschool I picked up my game cause I wanted to make something of myself. Last year was the first year of my life that I made straight A’s… My parents aren’t pushing me so it’s not like a b is a problem or they’ll be disappointed or anything. I just want to do the best since I just think I’m smart enough (that sounds so cocky but if I thought I wasn’t very smart reaching for top 30 or 10% would probably be more my goal). If I’m not Val it’s no big deal… But since I believe I’m capable, if I’m not Val or sal ill think the only reason not is because I didn’t try hard enough (I probably don’t put 100% into school and probably should put in more than I do)

Wow long response.

Haha guys, there’s no way to describe yourself socially without sounding pretentious. No judgment at all:)

In school, I’m really friendly with the stereotypically “nerdy” kids, especially in my honors/AP/music (orch dork :P) classes. I sit with them at lunch (since we usually have similar schedules). But outside of school, I hang out with football players, my friends from track, and even some “gangsters” (for lack of a better word). I guess I’m decently popular, I’m well-known for my sense of humor and sarcasm. Also, I also have a reputation for being a major liberal in an overtly conservative town (garnering me both respect and disdain).

I’m friends with a lot of popular girls (not that I would/could ever date them) from elementary school and we just kind of stayed friends. My group of friends gets invited to parties a lot but we’re definitely not stereotypical popular jocks.

Most of my teachers like me, some do not like me because of my sarcastic attitude in class (i.e. my chemistry teacher).

I’m actually not known as the “smart” girl, though that may be due in part by the fact that everyone is really smart at my school. I’m the happy, bubbly, quirky girl that likes to make people laugh. I also don’t get embarrassed easily, and am comfortable with myself. However, when I’m in English class, then I’m known as the smart girl, and people are voting me “most likely to be published” for the senior superlatives. :)

My sister, on the other hand, is incredibly popular and athletic, though a little bit spoiled. She’s very smart though. We are like opposites.

@teaspoons your back story is so similar to that girls lol. And she’s given the same “I’m smart enough to be valedictorian or else I’d be 20%” speech. I’m not making you haha but that’s a legit comparison. It’s not terrible to be like her (except that you’re a guy right?). Me and her are sorta friends, she’s a cheer captain as a sophomore, and lots of people find her pleasant.

I am that guy who sits in class and nobody really knows. My reputation is also of telling it like it is, and not giving any BS, or helping anyone out. give any BS. (Before you jump on me, I am in all honors classes, etc.)

You could say I’m above average (I’m in the top 10% of my class), but a lot of people label me as “smart”, sometimes even as “genius”…it’s kind of awkward since I don’t think of myself that highly. I’m really terribly shy so a lot of people know my face, but not my name. I don’t speak up in class, but I’m a pretty good student, so teachers tend to like me, if not love me. Andddd…I’m pretty nerdy. :)

I’m the one people think is smart but really, I’m not. People always ask me to help them with something and sometimes I just want to tell them bug off because I am not smart at all. So, basically I’m the dumb Asian with a baseless high reputation if that makes any sense at all. The dumb Asian who seems smart but does horribly on tests. Who also is socially awkward, has an overly pessimistic view and will not get into any college. Who will disgrace her family.

Also, I’m seen as weird. I don’t really go shopping, and don’t like it. I am not a supercrazy fan girl like some of the more girly girls. I just see both as a waste of time/money/energy. But whatever. I also have strong likes and strong dislikes which doesn’t really mix well with the people in my grade.

I don’t really consider myself popular, but I guess compared to other people in my grade I know a lot of people in other grades.

Some teachers really like me, but others completely hate me. For me, the people in my class really change how I participate, how I act, etc. in class.

I actually have no idea what my reputation is. I know very few people in my school of 3200+. But in my classes I guess I’m the smart kid that gets along with everyone.

Everyone knows me to be smart as well as lazy/ chill lol. Also the word “player” gets tossed around in regards to me, but thats not true at all. I am also seen as funny, not class clown funny, but nerdy jokes, sarcasm, irony type funny. A lot of people say I should be a philospher, because apparently I say a lot of things that are “quatable” and “deep.” To be honest my reputation depends on who you ask, I reveal different things to different people. I’m not sure what my teachers think of me I really don’t build much of a relationship with them, but they all have high expectations for me

@goodnoodle really? And no I’m a girl… But it’s probably not me since I don’t ever talk about my backstory and I never tell people that I just think I’m smart enough (it sounds super arrogant…well I feel like it would sound arrogant if I said it outloud) I also don’t really talk about my rank too much either… That’s so strange that we’re really similar (me and your competition that is) hmm…

I’m also known for being horrible at eye contact. No matter how hard I try to get it right, people always notice when I screw up. Kids notice it, teachers notice it, my boss noticed it…I dunno.

@teaspoons I didn’t think you actually were her haha. You seem a lot less overconfident than her.
