<p>I am seriously considering switching my major to accounting at a top-tier accounting school (McCombs). I was wondering what types of jobs are available after I finish an Integrated MPA program, which gets me an undergraduate and graduate degree in five years.</p>
<p>Would it be possible for me to land a good job with a consulting firm (like Accenture) or one of the Big 4 companies, if I maintain a high GPA at college? How widely available are jobs for accounting majors?</p>
<p>You would be at the best accounting program in the country, so of course you would have an opportunity to land with a top firm.</p>
<p>But would an accounting major from UT be able to do something like actuarial science? What about the types of jobs that most (good) finance majors do?</p>
