I had to make my choices for my schedule for senior year, but I'm not sure what to do.

I am definitely taking AP chem and AP lit, and an elective. But I have to decide what to do for math and ss.

Would it look better to go from pre calc in junior year to AP Calc AB in senior yet, but remain in regular ss?

Or would it look better to go from pre calc junior year to discrete math senior year (dropping down), but going from regular ss junior year to AP Government senior year?

I am looking to apply at stony brook university, university of Hartford, quinnipiac, university of Scranton, university of Delaware, and rutgers.

I wouldn’t go backwards in math. Colleges really want to see Calc. Is there an honors ss you could take?

I’m not sure that it matters as far as admissions into the schools you’ve listed. However, I think that if you feel that you can handle AP Calc, that would be a better choice to prepare and perhaps give you credit/placement in college.

There’s no honors ss, only regular or AP. I was considering doing all four APs, but I really feel like it will be too much for me.

I think I’ll probably wind up doing AP calc, because my guidance counselor said that admissions would think I’m slacking if I take pre calc, get a 95 average, and don’t go into AP calc.
