What major is directed towards a CPA?

<p>I want to major in something that will help me towards CPA [certified public accountant] but I don’t know what major to take. Does anyone have an idea of a major relatively close towards getting a CPA or at least meeting the requirements to get into grad school?</p>

<p>perhaps managerial econ, it requires you to take a few accounting courses. if you wanna complete all the requirements for cpa exam during undergrad, you may have to take courses at sac state or ucd extension cause davis itself doesn't offer enough accounting courses. or you could just get a master's in accounting after graduating, it only takes about a year, and they actually prefer people who didn't major in undergrad accounting.</p>
