what major should I chose

Hey there,
I am currently a Pre-pharm, MLS major student.
the fourth year of MLS major is a training program off-campus which I have to apply for. These programs are 12-16 months starting either august or september depending on where you choose. If I do choose MLS path, it would be conflicting with the time for applying to pharmacy school (and the time of enrollment, since pharm school usually starts in july or august). this means that I have to wait another year for pharmacy school.
therefore, I am considering switching it to microbiology. Thus, it would be a normal four years of classes, and applying to pharm school the year before entry. But I am worried about what kind of jobs you can get with a bachelor in microbiology… ( I feel like you have to at least get a master in microbiology to get good jobs… so…)

So plz, can anyone give me any advice or suggestions on this?

What is MLS?

@Madison85‌ Sounds like MLS means Medical (&?) Life Sciences or something like that.

If you had any interest in pharmacy, you should have done microbiology anyways. It would have suited you fine. The prospects for most natural sciences if you don’t do professional/grad school are considerably low. If you don’t get into a pharmacy school, you can probably get in a lab off your bachelors. However, you might want to consider a masters.

If you did a 12 month program from Aug 15 to Aug 15, you could possible start pharmacy school in late August/Sept 1.
